Key Responsibilities

Lead Complex Programs: Drive strategic, cross-functional programs focused on evolving Stripe's core service infrastructure. This involves everything from initial concept to successful deployment and ongoing optimization.
Strategic Planning and Roadmapping: Partner with engineering, product, and other stakeholders to define program scope, objectives, and success metrics. Develop comprehensive project plans and roadmaps that align with our overall infrastructure strategy.
Execution and Delivery Excellence: Oversee program execution, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, managing dependencies, and ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
Foster Collaboration: Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration across multiple engineering teams, product managers, and other functions, ensuring everyone is aligned and informed.
Technical Fluency: Possess a strong understanding of technical architectures, distributed systems, and modern service infrastructure challenges to effectively guide engineering teams.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine our program management processes and tools to enhance efficiency, predictability, and transparency within the infrastructure organization.
Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear, concise, and regular updates to all levels of stakeholders, including executive leadership, on program status, risks, and achievements.

Requirements

A proven track record of 5+ years in a Technical Program Management role, specifically within infrastructure or platform teams, with a focus on service infrastructure, distributed systems, or foundational platforms.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional technical programs from inception through delivery in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and collaborating effectively with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders across different time zones.
Strong technical acumen; you can engage effectively with engineers, understand architectural trade-offs, and contribute to technical discussions.
Experience with modern software development methodologies and a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Proactive problem solver with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
