Axiom is actively searching for highly skilled Legal Consultants specializing in GMSLA documentation and negotiation. This pivotal role involves providing expert legal support to one of our esteemed Fortune 500 financial services clients. You will be instrumental in navigating complex securities lending landscapes, ensuring robust and compliant agreements. This is a fully remote, worldwide opportunity, offering you the flexibility to contribute your expertise from your preferred location.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the drafting, thorough review, and precise negotiation of GMSLAs, alongside all associated trading and collateral documentation.
Provide invaluable legal and commercial guidance to front office and operations teams regarding securities lending matters.
Collaborate closely with risk management, compliance departments, and external legal counsel to guarantee all documents adhere strictly to regulatory requirements and internal organizational standards.
Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and refinement of template agreements and playbooks, aiming to enhance negotiation consistency and overall efficiency.

Requirements

Demonstrable strong, hands-on experience in GMSLA negotiation and documentation, whether as a qualified lawyer or a highly experienced, non-qualified negotiator.
A solid grasp of securities lending principles and the mechanics of collateral and margin.
A minimum of 3 years' Post Qualified Experience (PQE) in GMSLA is essential. Candidates with equivalent extensive experience as a dedicated GMSLA negotiator will also be given full consideration.
Possess excellent communication skills and a confident, persuasive negotiation style, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and effectively partnering with trading and operations teams.
