Axiom is actively seeking a skilled Legal Consultant specializing in Investment Management. This is a fully remote, global opportunity where you will provide crucial, ongoing legal support to our distinguished Fortune 500 clients within the fast-paced asset management sector. You will play a pivotal role in advising on legal and commercial terms, helping to navigate complex transactions and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards across diverse global markets.

Key Responsibilities

Reviewing and Negotiating Documents: Expertly draft, review, and negotiate critical legal documents such as Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), engagement and mandate letters, term sheets, and non-binding offers.
Strategic Legal Advisory: Provide insightful legal and commercial advice to deal and investment teams on essential terms, including scope of services, fee structures, liability clauses, and indemnities.
Transaction Execution Support: Facilitate the smooth execution of transactions, coordinating effectively with external counsel and meticulously ensuring all documentation adheres strictly to internal policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
Process Enhancement: Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of legal templates and operational processes, enhancing efficiency and consistency.

Requirements

Professional Experience: Around 3 to 6 years Post Qualification Experience (PQE) is preferred. A strong background from asset management firms, private equity, or hedge funds is highly desirable. Candidates with experience from broader financial services may also be considered if they possess the right skillset.
Document Expertise: Demonstrable, hands-on experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial and transaction documents, particularly NDAs, engagement letters, and term sheets.
Communication and Attention to Detail: Possess strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. Showcase excellent attention to detail, robust organizational ability, and a proven capacity to thrive in a team-based environment.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in Chinese is required for this role.
